The right tools for the job
We use only purified water which is first purified removing all the minerals and impurities that are present in our everyday water. This is then fed up through light, carbon fibre poles and sprayed onto the solar panels. A soft bristled brush then lightly loosens the dirt and grime which is absorbed and flushed away by the stream of pure water. Then the solar panels are simply rinsed again and left to dry naturally.
Because the water is free from impurities, and no detergents are used, the solar panels are left spotless and streak free. No sticky residue is left, the glass doesn't attract dirt, and they stay cleaner for longer.
A yearly, or twice yearly solar panel cleaning is recommended. As the spring and summer months produce considerably more electricity than the winter months, early spring and then again in summer are the best times to do it in order to keep your solar panels working as efficiently as possible. The cost of solar panel cleaning is far outweighed by the increase in their generating efficiency.
